What is the duration of the JHOON BABU Warranty?

The JHOON BABU Warranty is valid for one year from the date of purchase.

JHOON BABU PRODUCT WARRANTY POLICY.

JHOON BABU Product Warranty Policy - Terms & Conditions

Duration: One Year Warranty, valid from the date of purchase. 

Coverage: Include manufacturing defects, pre-existing damage to precious metal due to faulty setting. 

Exclusions: Damage due to failure to adopt proper care as per the instructions, where such method of proper care was advised to the Customer at the time of purchase, natural property of any materials used in the jewellery to decay under certain circumstances as advised to the customer at the time of purchase, customised design proposed by customer of such delicate and unviable nature as was informed to customer at the time of order booking, accidents, misuse, or alterations made by a third party. 

Mode of Repair/Replacement/Refund: JHOON BABU Team will repair the item or replace it with a similar item if it is found to be defective during the warranty period. Any such repair will be done with genuine amount  of labour cost. If the jewellery can’t be repaired or replaced, JHOON BABU would refund the customer value equivalent to similar Gold & Stone quality and weight. 

Proof of Purchase: Customers are required to provide proof of purchase, in the form of Original Tax Invoice, Certificate of Authenticity, Warranty Certificate when making a warranty claim. 

Transferability: The warranty is transferable to another owner if the jewellery is gifted subject to the holder producing the original Tax Invoice and Certificate of Authenticity. The Customer claiming warranty as a donee under this provision indemnifies JHOON BABU against any claims, losses, damages, costs, penalties, expenses arising from the customer’s representation of himself as the original owner’s donee. JHOON BABU  will require the Customer representing himself as the donee of the original owner to submit KYC documents being photo identity proof and proof of address to avail the warranty unless a validly executed gift deed for the jewellery in question is produced. 

Voiding the Warranty: Unauthorized repairs or alterations to the jewelry will void the existing warranty. 

Procedure for Claims: Customer should visit our Store and produce the Defective Jewellery, its broken part if any, Tax Invoice & Certificate of Authenticity and collect a Jewellery Service Form. JHOON BABU will evaluate and share the repair/replacement timelines to the customer.

1. What is the Sales Return Policy?

JHOON BABU offers a No Question Asked Return Policy within the specified return period, allowing customers to request a return for a product of equal or higher value, subject to availability.

2. What is the timeframe for initiating a return?

The Jewelry must be returned within 15 days of purchase. 

Gold Coins & Bars must be returned within 2 days of purchase. 

3. What are the conditions & documents required to return products to JHOON BABU?

4. Can someone else return a product on behalf of the original customer?

JHOON BABU 

SALES RETURN POLICY

1. Customers may be eligible to return products purchased from JHOON BABU  subject to the

terms and conditions outlined in this policy.

Conditions for Return

2. Products must be returned unused and in their original condition and accompanied

by the original Tax Invoice or Certificate of Authenticity. Jewellery, which is tampered,

altered, misused, broken, mishandled, affected by chemicals, or repaired in any way will

not be eligible for Sales Return.

3. JHOON BABU offers Sales Returns to the customer on whose name the bill has been issued

or to the authorised representative carrying and presenting (i) an authorisation letter

from the original customer mentioning the name and identity proof unique number (e.g.

Aadhar number, PAN Card) of the representative and (ii) his/her photo identity proof as

per the authorisation letter.

4. Return of purchased jewellery must be initiated within 15 days from the date of

purchase. 

NOTE- Return of Gold Coins & Bars must be initiated within 2 days of purchase.

Return Process

5. JHOON BABU  offers a No Question Asked Return Policy to their customers. Customers may

request a return against a product of equal or higher value within the specified return

period, subject to the conditions herein and availability of the desired product.

6. Returns will be issued in the form of Credit Note equivalent to the Net Bill Value of

the original purchase. Net Bill Value means the original invoice value paid by the customer against the purchase of the jewellery.

Exclusions

9. Non-Returnable Items: Certain items may not be eligible for return, including but not

limited to:

• Customized or personalized products.

• Products damaged due to misuse, negligence, or improper handling.

• Products without original tax invoice or certificate of authenticity.


Damaged or Defective Items

10. Customers must report any damaged or defective items within 15 days of purchase.

11. Inspection: JHOON BABU  reserves the right to inspect the item(s) and determine whether a

return, replacement/exchange, or repair is appropriate based on the circumstances. If

upon such inspection, it is evident that any damage to the item(s) is due to the

customer’s own actions or negligence, JHOON BABU  shall reserve the right to decline a return.

12. Resolution: JHOON BABU  will allow return/replacement of damaged/ defective products

or offer free-of-cost repair of the said product. In case of Return the customer will be

issued a credit note which has to be utilised in accordance with this Policy.

13 Repair/Replacement: If the genuinely damaged/defective product is one such as can

be readily replaced then the exact product shall be replaced. If the said

damaged/defective product is made-to-order or customised, then the delivery time shall

be such as may be informed.


Modification of Policy

14. JHOON BABU  reserves the right to modify or update this return policy at any time without

prior notice. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting the revised policy

on our website or in-store. Such changes will apply prospectively on new purchases.


Other Terms & Conditions

15. Wherever the Net Bill Value or the purchase of new jewellery towards which the

Credit Note under this policy is applied, is greater than or equal to Rs.2.0 Lakhs, the

Customer will have to provide self-attested PAN Card copy and would need to be

physically available for completing the exchange/transaction.

16. Applicable Indian law shall govern the transaction. In case of any dispute, courts in BUXAR only shall have jurisdiction.

17. The Terms and Conditions hereinunder are in addition to the Company’s other terms

and conditions that may be applicable to the transaction.

18. The value of Customer’s claims pursuant to any dispute arising out of this policy

shall be limited to the determined sales return value.

Customer Advance Order

1. What is the Customer Advance Programme at JHOON BABU?

JHOON BABU's Customer Advance Programme allows customers to place an order for jewellery by paying a partial or full advance payment. This only ensures the reservation of the selected product until the final purchase is made.

2. What are the key requirements when placing an advance order?

Customers must submit a declaration of nominee at the time of advance payment. It is also essential to maintain correct and updated contact details and address with JHOON BABU to avoid any identification or communication issues. 

3. How does the advance payment work for Customer Advance Order for “Product selection”?

Customers can book jewellery by paying a minimum of 25% of the total cost as advance under the "Customer Order - Product Selection".

This advance is reserved against the customer and can be used towards the final purchase within the stipulated time period.

4. How does the advance payment work for Customer Advance Order "Product Selection with Rate Freeze"?

This option requires customers to pay a higher advance (60% for studded jewellery, 75% for plain gold jewellery, 95% for coins/biscuits/bars) to freeze the product rate at the time of payment. 

5. How long is the advance payment valid?

The advance payment remains valid for 30 days from the date of payment or intimation of product readiness for pick-up whichever is later. Customers must collect the product within this period along with completing the final payment.

6. What happens if I do not collect the product within the stipulated time?

Failure to collect the product within 30 days will result in the advance amount being converted into a Credit Note. The Credit Note remains valid for 30 days. If not utilized, a cheque equivalent to the Credit Note amount will be dispatched to the customer's last known address. 

7. How does the advance payment work for Make-To-Order jewellery?

For Make-To-Order jewellery, customers must pay a minimum of 90% of the estimated product value before the design process begins. The gold rate is frozen at the time of booking for a period of 30 days after the product is ready for pick-up.

8. Can I cancel a Make-To-Order product?

Yes, if an MTO product is cancelled, the accumulated advance will be converted into a Credit Note after deducting the making charges. The Credit Note remains valid for 30 days, after which a cheque will be dispatched to the customer's last known address, subject to delay and inconvenience fees if applicable. 

9. What happens if the customer is unable to collect the product?

The product must be collected by the person who signed the order copy, presenting the original order copy at the time of collection. In case of proxy collection, an authorization letter and original photo identification must be provided.

10. Does the advance accumulate interest?

No,  JHOON BABU does not pay any interest on accumulated advance amounts.

1. The programme shares the guidelines for customers wanting to place an order towards the purchase of a product from the JHOON BABU store by making partial or full payment as advance. 

Eligibility 

2. The customer must maintain correct and updated contact details and address with JHOON BABU once the advance has been paid. JHOON BABU will not be liable for any loss to the customer because of incorrect or out-of-date contact details and/or address. 

3. All Customers placing Orders on Advance must submit a declaration of nominee at the time of advance payment.

 Definitions 

4. “Customer Order – Product Selection” means that a customer can pay an advance to book a piece of jewellery by paying a minimum of 25% towards the total cost of product. The said minimum 25% advance will be reserved against the customers’ account in Point of Sale (“POS”) and can be utilised at the time of the final purchase but within the stipulated time period as hereinunder. 

5. “Product Selection with Rate Freeze” means Customer Order – Product Selection wherein the order is placed on payment of 60% advance for studded jewellery, 75% advance for plain gold jewellery, 95% advance for coins/biscuits/ bars. 

6. Product Rate on purchases under this program means the company’s prevailing rate of the jewellery piece at the time of payment of advance. Customer Orders .

7. Payment of Advances against Customer Order – Product Selection, will not entitle any Product Rate or Offer Freeze during the final purchase except as specifically provided herein. Rates & Discounts available at the time of final purchase will be applicable on the billing of such booked product. 

8. Customer may freeze the Product Rate for select products as under Product Selection with Rate Freeze. 

9. The Advance Payment towards both Customer Order - Product Selection” and “Product Selection with Rate Freeze” will remain valid till 30 days from the day of advance or intimation to customer of product readiness for pick-up. The Customer shall have to collect the selected product within said period along with completion of final payment. 

10. In case the customer does not collect the order within the stipulated 30-day period or seeks to cancel the order, the advance amount will be converted into a Credit Note and any Product Rate Freeze & Selection of Product will cease to exist. The Credit Note will have a validity period of 30 days. At the end of said validity period, the Company shall dispatch a cheque of amount equal to the Credit Note to the last known address of the Customer on the Company’s records. 

11. The Customer may partially or fully use the accumulated advances towards a change of selected jewellery without any Product Rate Freeze on such change of selection. The balance amount of accumulated advances will also not be entitled for any type of Product Rate Freeze. 

12. Customer can also order “Make to Order” Jewellery by paying a minimum of 90% of the estimated product value before the product is sent for design. 

13. Advance orders for Make to Orders (“MTO”) jewellery will only have gold rate freeze (as per the company’s prevailing gold rate at the time of placement of the order) on the selected Jewellery for a period of 30 days after the selected product is ready for pickup at the store. 

14. The final price of the Make to Order (MTO) Product will be shared after the order is created and received at the store. The final MTO price can differ from the approximate estimate provided during advance collection. However, the final MTO price will have the gold rate as was frozen at the time of booking by the customer upon advance payment subject to timely collection of the product. 

15. In case the customer cancels the MTO product, the accumulated advance will be converted into a Credit Note with deduction of the selected product’s making charges. Said Credit Note will not be entitled for any rate freeze. The Credit Note will have a validity period of 30 days. At the end of its validity period, the Company shall dispatch a cheque of amount equal to the Credit Note to the last known address of the Customer on the Company’s records. 

16. Customer orders under this program for all products including make to order, must be invoiced and collected from the original store where said order was booked. 

17. Payment of advance amount can be done through Cash, E-NACH, Credit/Debit cards, Bank transfer, UPI. 

18. Customer must provide PAN Card details during the payment of advance or upon final payment for orders or transactions higher than Rs. 2.0 Lakhs. 

19. The billing of a product should be done in the name of the customer who has originally paid the advance and the advance utilisation will be validated through OTP during the final billing of the product. 

20. In a scenario where the final bill value is higher than Rs.2.0 Lakhs and the bill is made in the name of a new customer than the self-attested PAN card details of the new customer must be provided along with his/her physical presence. 

21. At no point in time, shall the Company pays any interest on the accumulated advance to the Customer. 

22. Selected products under this program that are ready for pickup must be collected by the person who signed the order copy, by producing the original order copy at collection time. 

23. The signature in the invoice and order copy must match. In the event, the person who has signed the invoice is not able to come for taking delivery, the same would be delivered to his/ her representative subject to receipt of original authorization letter from the customer along with original order copy and production of original photo identification proof. Please the ask the retail store for the format of the authorisation letter. Other Terms & conditions 

24. The Terms and Conditions hereinunder are in addition to the Company’s other terms and conditions that may be applicable to the transaction. 

25. Company reserves the right to delete or modify the policy. Such deletion/modification shall be prospective. Decision of company in this regard shall be final and binding. 

26. No warranty or assurance apart from regular warranty and assurance shall be given to the customer. 

27. Disputes if any, to be resolved in the courts of Buxar Jurisdiction only. The laws of India apply to these terms and conditions. 

28. Company shall make amendments to the program to comply with any changes in law and regulations. If, because of such amendment, the Customer may no longer be able to avail of the benefits herein he shall not have recourse to any damages, costs, interest apart from refund of accumulated advances. 

29. The value of Customer’s claims pursuant to any dispute arising out of this policy shall be limited to the accumulated advance. 

30. The Company reserves the right to decline an order for any reason.

JHOON BABU EXCHANGE POLICY.

 

1. What is the timeframe for initiating an exchange?

Jewellery can be exchanged after 15 days from the date of purchase. Exchange of Gold Coins & Bars must be initiated after 2 days of purchase.

2. What are the conditions for exchanging jewellery under JHOON BABU Exchange Programme (IEP)?

Jewellery must have been purchased from JHOON BABU and accompanied by the original Tax Invoice or Certificate of Authenticity to be eligible for exchange.

3. Can someone else exchange a product on behalf of the original customer?

Yes, an authorized representative can exchange a product by signing the JHOON BABU Exchange/Buyback Programme Request Form.

4. How is the exchange value determined?

The exchange value is determined based on prevailing rates of metals and stones at the time of exchange, considering the net weight of metal and stones brought for exchange. Discounts offered during the original purchase are deducted from this value, while making charges and taxes are also not considered. 

5. How is the exchange value provided to customers?

Exchanges are issued in the form of a Credit Note equivalent to the determined exchange value of the jewellery, valid for 30 days from the date of issuance. 

6. Can a customer get a money back or cash refund against the JHOON BABU Exchange Programme (IEP)?

No, Products brought for IEP can’t be exchanged against a Cash Refund.

7. What items are excluded from exchange?

Non-exchangeable items include fixed price products, and customised ordered products and those products cannot be exchanged if any pre-alterations are been made by the company on the order cum directions of the particular customer irrespective of multiple confirmations been taken into consideration by the valuable customer. These articles are Strictly cannot be exchanged against Cash/ or buying a new article for equivalent price or more than it.

8. What is the process for damaged or defective items brought for exchange?

JHOON BABU reserves the right to inspect items and determine exchange eligibility. Items with variations from the Certificate of Authenticity undergo quality inspection, with evaluation results shared within 7 days at the customer’s risk.

JHOON BABU EXCHANGE PROGRAMME 

1. Customers may be eligible to exchange products purchased from JHOON BABU subject to the terms and conditions outlined in this programme. Conditions for Exchange 

2. Products sought for exchange must have been purchased from JHOON BABU & shall be accompanied with the original Tax Invoice or Certificate of Authenticity. 

3 .JHOON BABU offers exchange to the customer on whose name the bill has been issued or to the authorised representative signing the JHOON BABU Exchange/Buyback Programme Request Form. 4. Timeframe: Exchange of purchased jewellery must be initiated after 15 days from the date of purchase. Exchange of Gold Coins & Bars must be initiated after 2 days of purchase. Definitions 

5. Prevailing rates means the Company’s city-wise rate prevailing on the metal or stone at the time of the transaction. Said rates are intra-day rates and depend upon a variety of factors including spot rate, freight, overheads etc. 

6. Determined Exchange Value means the determined price at which the Company values the jewellery tendered by the Customer under this programme for the purpose of exchange. It is based on the prevailing rates of metals and stone in said jewellery and is subject to such deductions and exclusions as hereinunder. Exchange Process 

7. JHOON BABU offers Lifetime Exchange Programme, subject to conditions herein, to their customers. Customers may request an exchange against another product of equal or higher value than the determined exchange value. If the new product is of a higher value than the determined exchange value, the customer will have to make up the shortfall. 

8. The determined exchange value will be as per the prevailing rates of metal & stones at the time of exchange for the net weight of metal & stones brought for exchange. Said determined exchange value shall be non-negotiable. 

9. The discounts offered during the original purchase will be deducted from the determined exchange value. 

10. The making charges & taxes will not be considered for the determined exchange value. It will be deducted

11. Exchanges will be issued in the form of Credit Note equivalent to the determined exchange value of the jewellery which will be valid for the period of 30 days from the date of issuance. 

12. No part of the determined exchange value will be transferred to the customer by or in cash/cheque/bank transfer. Exclusions 

13. Non-Exchangeable Items: Certain items may not be eligible for exchange, including but not limited to: • Fixed price products.  • Products without original tax invoice or certificate of authenticity. Damaged or Defective Items.

14. Inspection: JHOON BABU reserves the right to inspect the item(s) and determine whether an exchange is appropriate based on the circumstances. 

15. Jewellery brought for Exchange having difference in original weight, count of stones & dimension compared to the Certificate of Authenticity will be sent to the service centre for evaluation. The company will evaluate and share valuation within 7 days of exchange request. Such evaluation will be at the customer’s sole risk. 

16. By bringing jewellery for exchange and submitting the JHOON BABU Exchange/Buyback Programme Request Form as hereinunder to JHOON BABU, the customer: • Gives consent for the said jewellery to be sent to the service centre for evaluation if JHOON BABU deems fit without prior notice of the same to the customer. • Indemnifies JHOON BABU for any damage or loss related to the said jewellery incurred in the course of transporting, storing, handling, evaluating, or inspecting said jewellery. 

17. For such products having variance from the original weight, count & size as stated in the Certificate of Authenticity, JHOON BABU will determine the exchange valuation post quality inspection. Contact Information

Modification of Programmee

19. JHOON BABU reserves the right to modify or update this exchange programme at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting the revised programme on our website or in-store. Such changes will not apply to customers who had initiated an exchange prior to the modified/updated programme and have yet to redeem all or part of the Credit Note that they received pursuant to said exchange. Other Terms & Conditions 

20. All customers seeking to exchange will have to fill & sign the JHOON BABU Exchange/Buyback Programme Request Form & provide KYC (Photo Id proof with address). 

21. Wherever the determined exchange value or redemption in part or full of the Credit Note is towards a purchase greater than or equal to Rs.2.0 Lakhs, the customer will have to provide self-attested PAN Card copy and would need to be physically available for completing the exchange/transaction. 

22. Applicable Indian law shall govern the transaction. In case of any dispute, courts in Mumbai only shall have jurisdiction. 

23. By filling and signing the JHOON BABU Exchange/Buyback Programme Request Form, the customer indemnifies JHOON BABU against any claims, losses, expenses, costs, damages, penalties arising out of the Customer’s (i) deficient title, (ii) misrepresentation/fraud/forgery (iii) negligence (iv) unlawful action. 

24. The value of customer’s claims pursuant to any dispute arising out of this programme shall be limited to the determined exchange value. 

25. The Terms and Conditions hereinunder are in addition to the Company’s other terms and conditions that may be applicable to the transaction. 

26. The exchange shall be at the discretion of JHOON BABU which reserves all rights thereof.
